Mark Ridgely

Executive Director, Administration
Mark is a graduate of the Merrick School of Business at the University of Baltimore. For nearly 30 years, he worked for a multi-state chain of 40 retail stores as Controller and Secretary-Treasurer. In 2000, he became the Director of Accounting at The Virginian and is responsible for the financial operations of the Foundation and the facility. Mark was elected to the Board of Directors of the Temple Foundation in 2007 and assumed the position of Executive Director in April 2013.

Priscilla Kneisley, NHA

Healthcare Administrator, Administration
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Assisted Living and Nursing levels of care at The Virginian, Priscilla has enthusiastically served the elderly in this capacity for over 15 years. Upon graduation from Mary Baldwin College, she taught high school biology, worked as a patient representative at Virginia Hospital Center and discovered her passion for geriatric service during her nine years with Medical Facilities of America. Family, reading, lay Eucharistic ministry, and hiking comprise a few of her extracurricular activities.

Anna Shotwell

Director, Marketing And Admissions
Anna has been part of The Virginian family since 2011 in various roles within the marketing and admissions team. Born in South America, Anna was raised and educated in New York City. She is fluent in English and Spanish. Anna is passionate regarding the services, assistance and well-being of all the residents of The Virginian. Anna has three children and is active in church, traveling, and outdoor activities.

Beverly Sullivan, LPN

Director, Assisted Living
Beverly came to The Virginian in January 2007 from Loudoun Hospital in Virginia. She is a graduate of the Ithaca School of Nursing and has more than 38 years’ nursing experience. Beverly served as a Nurse Manager at a public hospital in Syracuse, New York for more than 23 years and afterwards spent time traveling with her husband, working in various rehabilitation and acute care hospitals. Beverly has a true passion for assisting our residents and seeing that they receive the best care possible. When Beverly thinks back on her experience as a nurse, she always says, “The reason I became a nurse was to give people the best care possible and to give them the hope and respect they all desire.”

Catherine Gray

RN, Director of Nursing
Catherine Gray came to the Virginian in 2017. She had many years of experience as a Director of Nursing in pediatric and adult home care prior to joining our team. Catherine received her Master’s of Science in Nursing from George Mason and George Washington Universities. She has two Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Washington-one in nursing and one in linguistics. Prior to working in homecare, she worked in a variety of community based settings including long term care, public health, and corrections. Her true love in nursing has always been the elderly and she is thrilled to be back with this population. In her spare time, Catherine enjoys spending time with her family. She also enjoys reading, yoga, and hiking.

Katherine Alexander

Director of Resident Services
Katherine earned her BS in Healthcare Administration from George Mason University. During college, she gained valuable direct care experience through working with residents at a retirement community. It was this experience that helped to foster her passion for healthcare and enriching lives through activities. Katherine has since worked in a variety of healthcare roles, including as a healthcare engineer consultant for a local hospital and as a clinical coordinator for an area plastic surgeon. Katherine enjoys exercising and spending time with family.

Lauri Hunter

Director, Social Services
Lauri graduated from West Virginia University. She is a native of Northern Virginia and grew up in Reston. She lived in Charlotte, NC from 1999 to 2011 and has since lived in Reston near her family. Lauri enjoys spending time with her family, walking, swimming, movies and music.

Cathy Renkiewicz, PT, DPT, GCS, CEEAA

Director, Rehabilitation
Cathy earned her BS in Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 1978 and her DPT from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2011. She has practiced in acute care, rehabilitation hospitals, and outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine clinics. Cathy is an LVST BIG certified therapist for the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease. She is a member of the Geriatric, Orthopedic, and Health Policy and Administration sections of the APTA. She is an APTA certified clinical instructor and is Direct Access certified. She has been the Director of Rehabilitation at The Virginian since 1997. She is a board-certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist.

Haider Mahmood M.A,CDM,CFPP,FMP

Director, Dining Services
Haider holds a master’s degree in Management of Aging Services from the University of Maryland and an undergraduate degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Haider has over 10 years of experience in the senior living field in various hospitality roles, and is passionate about creating memorable dining experiences for all of our residents, family members, and employees. Haider enjoys spending time with his family and friends and lives in Annandale.

Robert Koth M.Div

Director of Pastoral & Community Care
Pastor Bob is currently serving as our Chaplain at The Virginian. Having recently retired from parish ministry, he now works full-time at The Virginian as the Director of Pastoral and Community Care. He plans, develops and implements a pastoral care ministry program which supports the spiritual life of the community. He coordinates and recommends religious activities and faith formation opportunities that enhance the spiritual life of the residents at The Virginian. He received his Master of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, Virginia. He also holds two degrees in Architecture. He is a native of Northern Virginia and is married with one adult daughter. He is available to all residents for spiritual care and counseling as well as hospital visitation.

Kevin Clinkenbeard

Director, Building Services
Originally from Northern California, Kevin came to the D.C. area when he was assigned to the USAF Presidential Honor Guard Drill Team. His diverse background includes being an entrepreneur, an analyst and a fraud investigator. He started his career in healthcare at the Virginia Hospital Center and most recently held the position as Director of Environmental Services at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center. Kevin hopes his attention to detail and dedication to customer service will benefit the residents and staff at The Virginian. He enjoys renovating homes and spending time with his wife and four children.

Lynn Rountree

Director/ Benefits Administrator, Human Resources
Lynn came to The Virginian in 1998, a native of North Carolina. She has worked in healthcare since high school, starting out as a CNA. She enjoys working in Human Resources and encourages all of the challenges that come with being an employee advocate. Her motto for the office is “Bring your complaints and comments, but bring suggestions and solutions with you also!” Honesty, communication and documentation always!

Bob Bancroft

Director Of Accounting, Accounting
Bob is a graduate of the Benjamin Franklin University, Washington, D.C. For 21 years, he worked as VP Finance/CFO for one of the largest multi-state wholesale utility companies in the U.S., located in Fairfax, VA. He then worked for 11 years with a service company in Washington, DC as Executive Vice President/CFO. In July 2013, he became the Director of Accounting at The Virginian and is responsible for the financial operations of the community. Bob resides in Centreville, VA with his wife and 2 daughters. He enjoys golf, working in the yard and reading.
